Mark has been an attorney since 1986 when he graduated from West Virginia University College of Law. He is an equity director with the firm working out of the Kingwood Office of McNeer, Highland, McMunn and Varner, L.C.

Mark maintains a active trial practice throughout the State of West Virginia. His primary areas of focus include personal injury, corporate and insurance defense, divorce, criminal, property litigation, and employment issues. He also enjoys working in the area of wills and estates. Mark has tried to verdict a significant number of cases over his twenty-three years as a trial attorney.

The Kingwood Office serves the community needs of Preston and surrounding counties. As an established firm with roots in the community dating back sixty years, Mark takes pride in working for and with the local members of the community. He presently serves as President of the Kingwood Rotary Club and was recently appointed to serve as the Area VII Assistant Governor for Rotary District 7530. He participates yearly as a volunteer for the local Health Fair and the Buckwheat Festival. He is active in the Preston County Bar Association and serves on its Scholarship Committee. He also is an active bidder at the Future Farmers Auction where young members of the community sell their farm products.

Mark lives in Morgantown where he is a member of the Monongalia Bar Association. He served as its President in 2005-2006. He is father of two children that keep his hours away from work very busy as he participates and sponsors Youth Soccer, Youth Basketball and Girls Softball. He and his wife, Suann, have been married for 14 years. He also serves on the Brettwald Board of Directors for his neighborhood.

As for professional organizations, Mark has been an active member in the WV Trial Lawyers Association where he made various presentations to the group, ATLA, the Monongalia and Preston County Bar Associations and the WV State Bar. He is a member of Primerus. He has also participated as a judge for trial competitions at the West Virginia College of Law, was a guest panel member on the PBS program, THE LAW WORKS. He has made educational presentations to the Monongalia County Bar, the Marion County Bar and at various Continuing Legal Education programs in the areas of office management, insurance litigation and trial practice.

Woodrow E. (Buddy) TurnerWoodrow E. (Buddy) Turner (Associate)

A native of Preston County, Buddy graduated in from Preston High School in 1992. During his senior year, Buddy won a nomination to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut for the Class of 1996. While at the Coast Guard Academy, Buddy was a member of the rugby team and was elected scrum captain. After graduating from the Coast Guard Academy in 1996, Buddy was commissioned an ensign in the United States Coast Guard and assigned to the USCGC Red Cedar in Portsmouth, Virginia. While stationed on the Red Cedar, Buddy served as training officer, navigator and operations officer and was awarded the Commandant's Letter of Commendation. In 1998, Buddy was assigned to the Radionavigation Division, Office of Aids to Navigation, United States Coast Guard Headquarters. While stationed at Coast Guard Headquarters, Buddy assisted in decommissioning the Omega navigation system, recapitalization of the Loran-C navigation system and expansion of the DGPS navigation system; he was awarded the Coast Guard Achievement Medal for his service at Coast Guard Headquarters. In 2001, Buddy entered the West Virginia University College of Law as a member of the Class of 2004. Buddy was elected Class President of the Class of 2004 and was a member of the Republican Law Caucus and a member of the West Virginia University Law Review. He won the CALI award for Constitutional Law and Trial Advocacy and graduated Order of the Coif. Upon graduation from law school, he began his professional practice with Jackson Kelly, PLLC in their Morgantown, West Virginia office. In 2007, Buddy returned home and joined the Kingwood office of McNeer, Highland, McMunn and Varner, LC.

Buddy is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Monongalia and Preston Bar Associations. He is chairman of the Preston County Republican Executive Committee and treasurer of the Kingwood Rotary Club.

Buddy's practice areas of law include general civil trial practice, including real estate litigation, family law, and criminal law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Buddy and his wife, Tina, have four children: Alana, Nikayla, Talia, and Cole. In his free time, Buddy enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling.
