Linda Hausman (Associate)

Linda Hausman is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she grew up in Squirrel Hill. Ms. Hausman received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1982. While at Pitt, Linda was an active member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority and an elected member of the Student Government Board. Ms. Hausman's positive experiences in extracurricular activities at Pitt prompted her to pursue a career in higher education.

Upon graduation from Pitt, Linda enrolled in a Master Program in Higher Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she was also employed in the Office of Student Activities. Upon completion of her Master's Degree, Linda became employed at West Virginia University in 1983. Linda quickly adopted West Virginia as her new home, being drawn to its friendly people and beautiful scenery. It was during her years at WVU that Linda also became an avid Mountaineer fan.

In 1999 Linda decided to change careers and pursue the legal profession. While in law school at the WVU College of Law, Linda continued her service to the University working in both the General Counsel's Office and the Student Legal Services Office. While living in Morgantown, Linda was very involved in the local community. Linda was a member of the Executive Committee of the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties and also served as the chairperson of the United Way Citizens Review and Allocations Committee. Linda's Monongalia County community service also included leadership roles with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Mountain State AIDS Network, and Main Street Morgantown. Since moving to Harrison County, Linda has become involved with the United Way of Harrison County as a member of the Grants Committee. She is a member of the Harrison County Child Abuse Task Force, where she serves as the Child Advocate Attorney and a member of Steering Committee for the Child Advocacy Center.

Linda has been employed at McNeer, Highland, McMunn and Varner, L.C. since shortly after her admittance to practice law in the fall of 2003. She has built a reputation as a well respected Family Law Attorney practicing in Harrison County, as well as the surrounding counties. She is a graduate of the American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Program. Linda also is a well respected Family Law Mediator and is certified by the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.

In her free time, Linda enjoys cooking and exploring the West Virginia scenery.
