Martinsburg Attorneys

Robert W. TrumbleRobert W. Trumble (Director)

Robert W “Bob” Trumble is the Resident Director of our Martinsburg, West Virginia office. A Bridgeport, West Virginia native, Bob opened the office in Martinsburg in 1992 and has built an extensive practice which services not only the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, but also the Potomac Highlands region of West Virginia including Grant, Hardy, Hampshire and Mineral Counties. He has successfully represented clients in each of the judicial circuits and before every sitting judge in these circuits. Further, he is equally comfortable before the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.

Bob’s practice areas include insurance defense and commercial litigation, construction disputes, business organization issues and bankruptcy. As a Panel Trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District since 1994, he has administered literally thousands of Chapter 7 bankruptcies filed in the region. However, this represents only a portion of his practice. He has an extremely busy litigation practice, with its primary focus on insurance defense. With his combination of litigation and commercial skills, Bob has helped numerous local and national businesses with their legal issues both inside and outside of the courtroom.

When not at work, Bob has engaged in a variety of community related activities including the Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan Counties and the Berkeley County Parks and Recreation. He was spokesperson for his Leadership Berkeley Class, served on the allocation committee for the United Way, was the chairman for the Youth Soccer Board and as treasurer for recreational swim team. Since 2004, Bob has been an assistant coach for the Martinsburg High School Boys Soccer Team, which has been to the State Final Four three out of the last five years. Prior to that, Bob coached youth football, basketball and soccer. His success in the Courtroom parallels his success on the playing field as his youth soccer teams captured six (6) State Championships while under his direction. In addition, from 1994 to 2000, Bob and his family owned and operated a successful upscale restaurant in Martinsburg, which became the gathering place for professionals for lunch, dinner and special occasions.

Bob and his wife, Kathleen, have four children ranging in age from 23 to 16. In his spare time, Bob enjoys golf and travel.
